 Video story-making
You'll practice creating relatable characters for a specific audience and use a storyboard to create scenes full of great conflict!
 Share your work
And learn from the work of others in the workshop. The school makes it possible to have conversations with other attendees inside and outside the sessions.

 SCHEDULE

Session 1

Meet the audience for your story and create relatable characters. Work on scene building: background, set pieces, props, perspective and proportioning. Make your characters move, act and talk, guided by the storyboard. Bring focus with camera movement.

Assignment

Set aside a few hours between sessions to finish building out the story according to the storyboard. Sync audio to characters. Share your work on the school site. Get valuable feedback to improve your production chops!

Session 2

Deepen video production skills with more demos and discussion. We'll also have time to answer lingering questions and make sure you're ready to tackle your next project!

Rance Greene

Rance Greene formed needastory.com and the School for Story Design for those who struggle with storytelling at work. His methodology—Story Design—gives leaders a systematic and creative way for discovering who their audience is and how to persuade them to take action on new ideas. He helps leadership teams and entrepreneurs discover that they are uniquely equipped to tell the best story for their audiences. Rance is the author of Instructional Story Design, a practical guide for developing stories that train. He coaches, teaches, speaks and writes often on the benefits of stories to connect humans to one another.
